What is involved?

Cerebral Palsy Scotland webinars are led by one of our specialist therapists and include a mixture of theory, case examples and practical ideas.  This session is being delivered by Speech and Language Therapist, Claire McMillan.

Learning objectives

By the end of the session, attendees will have:

• Increased understanding of how communication develops and how this relates to children with cerebral palsy
• Learnt practical ways to encourage communication in young children, considering both speech as well as alternative ways of communicating (AAC – Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
• Deepened their knowledge of what types of alternative communication can be considered including when and how to introduce AA
